The Forgetful Trio…

Every Sunday, my mother, Eileen, and her good friend Carlyn had a routine. They would go out for lunch, catch a movie, or attend a show, always accompanied by Carlyn’s sister, Kitty. Aunt Kitty, who was a bit unsteady on her feet and walked with a cane, would be dropped off at the front entrance of the establishment they were visiting, while Eileen and Carlyn parked the car. After their outing, they would retrieve the car, pick up Aunt Kitty, and head home.

Eileen and Carlyn were inseparable, chatting and giggling like schoolgirls as soon as they got into the car. However, their camaraderie sometimes led to forgetfulness. They would drive home, completely forgetting about Aunt Kitty waiting at the front entrance. It was only after arriving home that they would suddenly remember Aunt Kitty and realize their mistake.

Despite this happening more than once, Aunt Kitty was always patient and understanding, never getting upset with her forgetful friends. Instead, everyone would laugh about the situation, knowing that it was just another hilarious adventure in the lives of Eileen, Carlyn, and Aunt Kitty.
